The Burundian Diaspora living at Louisville organizes TUVUGANE AWARDS 2023

On Saturday May 27, 2023, at Louisville, in the State of Kentucky (USA), the Burundian community residing in America, through its networking platform “TUVUGANE”, organized a great event called TUVUGANE AWARDS 2023 and celebrated the achievements of the Burundian Diaspora in North America. These activities were prepared with the aim of discussing investment and development projects for Burundi and noticing people who have distinguished themselves in their community by spreading burundian culture.

These ceremonies were hosted by Aiza NTIBARIKURE, an award-winning singer and actress from Netflix “Jupiter’s Legacy” and “Workin Moms”, and the drummers of “Black Panther” who showcased the richness and diversity of burundian culture.

As a result, those who distinguished themselves by their good deeds received prizes, among others Mrs. Auriane ITANGISHAKA who was awarded the “UNSUNG HERO AWARD” for having positively influenced the Burundian Diaspora of the United States, Mr. Hamissi Mamba , the owner of the “Restaurant Baobab de Detroit” in the United States of America, who won the “HUMANITARIAN AWARD AND BUSINESS BRAND AWARD” for having shown exemplary leadership in the eradication of poverty and the reduction of suffering and took advantage of this great opportunity to share his ideas on his entrepreneurial journey and Fablice MANIRAKIZA who won a special recognition award for the incredible work he is doing to rebuild Burundi and engage the Burundian Diaspora in this battle . This young Burundian visionary built the very first secure complex in Burundi called “Gated community” and was able to share his inspiring story of community development.
