At the end of the visits made between the two countries in recent years, a Memorandum on cooperation between Burundi and Iran in the following areas was signed: technical and economic cooperation, geological and mining cooperation, in the field of agriculture, rural development and construction trade policy and police.
The Government of Burundi has already proposed to the Iranian side to hold the first session of the Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation between Burundi and Iran in Tehran, at the end of the current year. The holding of this 1st session of the Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation between Burundi and Iran would be an opportunity to be able to relaunch the historic ties of cooperation in various fields that existed in recent years, in order to further strengthen them.
