The Ambassador of Burundi in Algeria presents her credentials to the President of the Algerian Republic H.E Abdelmadjid Tebboune

On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, the Ambassador of Burundi to Algeria Her Excellency Elisabeth Mugirasoni presented her credentials to the President of the Algerian Republic His Excellency Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Burundi.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi in Algeria H.E Elisabeth Mugirasoni said that Burundi is determined to strengthen its relations with Algeria in order to work together for peace, security and economic development of the two countries. She affirmed before the President of the Algerian Republic His Excellency Abdelmadjid Tebboune that the opening of Burundi’s Embassy in Algeria testifies the will of Burundian authorities to strengthen good relations between the Republic of Burundi and the Algerian Republic which date back a long time. She wished to see the two countries working hand in hand for peace and security for economic development. She said she will spare no effort to strengthen relations at the highest level.

It should be noted that the ceremony for presentation of the credentials of the Ambassador of Burundi in Algeria H.E Elisabeth Mugirasoni took place in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, H.E Ahmed Attaf, and the Head of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic Mr. Mohamed Ennadir Larbaoui.

It should also be noted that Burundi and Algeria have a long-standing bilateral cooperation and the two countries will continue to cooperate in the organization of capacity building programs for the benefit of Executives and Senior Executives in various fields such as Agriculture and Livestock, Education, Health, etc. It should also be noted that Algeria has a long history of welcoming students from the Republic of Burundi, especially in the field of information technology.
