Le Lundi 25 avril 2022, le Secrétaire Permanent au Ministère des Affaires Etrangères et de la Coopération au Développement Monsieur Ferdinand BASHIKAKO a reçu en audience Son Excellence Madame Charity Manyeruke, Ambassadeur de Zimbabwe au Burundi avec résidence à Kigali.
Madame Charity Manyeruke a signalé que son pays veut renforcer la coopération économique avec le Burundi dans les domaines de la technologie de l’information et de la communication(TIC), de l’agriculture, du commerce et de l’infrastructure. Madame Charity a signalé aussi que le Zimbabwe accueilli favorablement la bonne nouvelle de levée des sanctions qui avaient été prises contre le Burundi par ses partenaires dont les Etats Unis d’Américaines et de l’Union Européenne.
Le Secrétaire Permanent au Ministère des Affaires Etrangères et de la Coopération au Développement a fait savoir que le Burundi se réjouit des excellentes relations d’amitié et de coopération qui existent avec le Zimbabwe raison pour laquelle l’idée de la coopération économique dans ces domaines est la bienvenue au Burundi étant donné que l’année 2022 est dédiée à l’agriculture.
Les deux personnalités ont également souhaité que le Burundi et le Zimbabwe et même l’Afrique en général puissent travailler ensemble pour le développement et pour le renforcement de la paix et la sécurité, la bonne gouvernance et la lutte contre le terrorisme à l’intérieur du continent et à l’extérieur.
Il a terminé son propos en remerciant le Zimbabwe pour l’appréciation positive des décisions de levée les sanctions prises contre le Burundi par ses partenaires.
