The new Ambassador of Burundi in India presents his Letters of Credence

On wednesday, july 19, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to India H.E. M. Aloys Bizindavyi presented to the President of the Republic of India Her Excellency Mrs. Droupadi Murmu, his credentials accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Burundi to India.

India and Burundi have good diplomatic relations for a long time. But those relations were limited to a few exchanges of visits and the multiple supports that the two countries granted each other in international bodies.

Since february 18, 2012, the cooperation between Burundi and India has been in good shape and is governed by an Agreement on Bilateral Cooperation. It is characterized by the following actions: diplomatic relations, exchanges of visits, granting of scholarships and internships, donations and multifaceted support.
