The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Development Cooperation, H.E. Ambassador Edouard BIZIMANA, participated on November 24, 2025, in Geneva, in an important meeting within the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This event takes place in an increasingly concerning international context regarding issues of racism and discrimination. It aims at mobilizing member states around this fundamental issue.

During this meeting, participants exchanged views on the responsibilities of nations in the fight against racial discrimination. Discussions focused on initiatives and measures to be implemented to ensure equal rights for all, regardless of ethnic or racial origins. H.E. Ambassador BIZIMANA emphasized the importance of collective commitment and international cooperation to advance this cause. The Minister also highlighted the efforts of Burundi, particularly the progress made in promoting human rights.
