Burundi’s Ambassador to Paris presents his credentials to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco

On Friday October 25, 2024, the Ambassador of Burundi in Paris His Excellency Isaïe Kubwayo presented his Letters of credence accrediting him as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Burundi to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Burundi’s Ambassador to Paris, his Excellency Isaïe Kubwayo was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Monaco on the fringes of the letters of credence presentation ceremonies. This was an opportunity to exchange views with partners who already have projects underway in Burundi, such as peace and sport, potential partners interested in investing in Burundi, the Monegascan Club of entrepreneurs in Africa and the Monaco Economic Executive Board.

Note that on October 31, 2014, in Paris, Burundi and the Principality of Monaco signed a joint communiqué establishing Diplomatic relations between the two countries. Monaco has a consulate in Burundi in Bujumbura, represented by the Honorary Consul Mrs Spès Nihangaza. In 2006, the Principality of Monaco initiated an FXB (François Xavier Bognou) project in Burundi, a non-governmental organization that fights against extreme poverty.

The Ambassador of Burundi to France, His Excellency Isaïe KUBWAYO, had the opportunity to exchange views with Mr François GREERTS, Founding President of the Monegascan Club of entrepreneurs in Africa and of the International Cooperation Department.
