The credentials delivery ceremonies were also an opportunity for the new Ambassador of Burundi in Paris, Ambassador Isaïe Kubwayo, to convey to the President of the French Republic His Excellency Emmanuel MACRON a message from His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye the President of the Republic of Burundi asking for his personal involvement with the European Union (EU) for the disbursement of 240 million euros which should have accompanied the removing of the sanctions which had been unfairly inflicted on Burundi in 2015.

Note that Burundi and France maintain the good cooperative relations.
