This Thursday, July 23, 2026, the Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Development Cooperation, Mr. Adolphe BUKURU, took part in the ceremonies marking the celebration of the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The event was held in the presence of the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Burundi, Mrs. Amira ABDELRAHIM ALI MOSTAPHA, numerous senior officials of the Burundian administration, representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps in Bujumbura, UN agencies, Egyptian nationals living in Burundi, as well as various distinguished guests.
In her address, the Ambassador of Egypt recalled that this day commemorates the 74th anniversary of the glorious July 23 Revolution, which ended long decadesof injustice and paved the way for a new era of freedom and dignity for the Egyptian people. She stressed that Egypt is continuing its path today with strengthand determination toward a prosperous future, founded on justice, equality, and freedom.
This celebration also comes at a time when relations between Egypt and Burundi are experiencing remarkable momentum, characterized by sincere brotherhood and strengthened cooperation, made possible by the will and determination of the leaders of both countries.
Burundi reaffirms its appreciation for the excellent relations of friendship and brotherhood that unite it with Egypt, relations built on mutual trust, respectfor dignity and sovereignty, and the defense of common interests.
