Les Chefs d’État et de Gouvernement des pays signataires de l’Accord-cadre pour la paix, la sécurité et la coopération pour la République Démocratique du Congo et la Région se sont réunis le 24 février 2022 à Kinshasa en République Démocratique de Congo sous la coprésidence de Son Excellence Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, le Président de ce pays avec les représentants des institutions garantes à savoir l’Organisation des Nations Unies (ONU), l’Union Africaine (UA), la Conférence Internationale sur la Région des Grands Lacs (CIRGL) et de l’Organe de coopération en matière de politique, de défense et de sécurité de la Communauté de Développement d’Afrique australe (SADC). Le Burundi a été représenté à haut niveau par le President de la Republique, Son Excellence Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE.
Les Chefs d’Etat ont fait le bilan de la situation politique et des conditions de sécurité dans la Région des Grands Lacs ainsi que des progrès enregistrés dans la mise en œuvre de l’Accord-cadre depuis leur dernière réunion, tenue à Kampala en Ouganda le 0 8 octobre 2018 et ont donné des conclusions sur :
- La Mise en œuvre de l’Accord-cadre pour la paix, la sécurité et la coopération ;
- La Promotion du dialogue et de processus politiques inclusifs ;
- Le Renforcement de la coopération sécuritaire et judiciaire contre les forces négatives ;
- La Promotion de l’intégration régionale ;
- La Promotion du rôle des femmes, des jeunes et de la société civile ;
- Et la Prochaine Réunion de haut niveau du Mécanisme Régional du Suivi.
