He particularly praised the collaboration with the Minister and his team, while highlighting the excellence of the cooperative relations between Germany and Burundi. Both authorities agreed on the need to further strengthen these ties.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9358 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/PH-ALLEM-300x216.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/PH-ALLEM-300x216.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/PH-ALLEM-1024x737.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/PH-ALLEM-768x553.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/PH-ALLEM-1536x1106.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/PH-ALLEM-2048x1475.jpeg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The exchanges concerned two notes verbales:<br \/>\n* one concerning the ongoing Burundian-German projects, notably the development of the BOMA tourist site in Gitega,<br \/>\n* the other concerning the annual seminar organized in Germany for diplomats.<br \/>\nGermany\u2019s candidacy for the Human Rights Council in Geneva was also discussed.<br \/>\nTaking the floor, Minister Bizimana praised the quality of the collaboration maintained with Ambassador Holscher and reaffirmed the willingness of Burundi to pursue close cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regarding ongoing projects, he announced the establishment of a commission responsible for defining the next steps and ensuring their implementation.<br \/>\nThe Minister also stressed that, despite the persistent insecurity in eastern DRC due to destabilizing actions of Rwandan troops, Burundi continues to progress on several fronts. He asked for Germany\u2019s support so that regional initiatives, such as the Washington and Doha agreements, could succeed.
