He detailed cooperation in key areas such as education, health, trade and security, including scholarships for Burundian students. He also highlighted the importance of a joint commission planned for 2026 in Ankara, aiming at strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of their respective peoples. The Permanent Secretary then spoke about the cooperative relations between Burundi and Turkey, mentioning the numerous agreements signed and the high-level visits that have taken place. He reiterated that relations between Turkey and Africa have grown considerably, with extensive diplomatic representation on the continent, and referred to the strategic partnership established with the African Union. Mr ISIKLI congratulated Burundi on the peaceful conduct of the legislative and local elections, as well as on its recent achievements on the international stage.
