Under the theme <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';\">\u201cAccelerating Global Climate Solutions: Financing for Africa\u2019s Resilient and Green Development <\/span><\/em>,\u201d the summit aims to catalyze concrete commitments on climate finance, technological innovation, and sustainable development. Organized by the Ethiopian Government in partnership with the African Union, the event marks a decisive step in the implementation of the resolutions adopted at the first Summit held in Nairobi in 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8223 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/changement-climatique-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/changement-climatique-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/changement-climatique-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/changement-climatique.jpeg 810w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span lang=\"EN\" style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';\">The Republic of Burundi, represented by His Excellency Ambassador Edouard BIZIMANA, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Development Cooperation, is playing an active role. In his speech, the Minister delivered a strong message, highlighting Africa&#8217;s vulnerability to the effects of climate change, despite its low contribution to global emissions. He discussed Burundi&#8217;s realities\u2014drought, food insecurity, forced displacement\u2014while calling for increased international solidarity and respect for financial commitments to the continent.
