The Head of Diplomatic Mission of Burundi in Brussels was warmly welcomed by the Director General.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6651 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/foto-burundi-et-belg-244x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"244\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/foto-burundi-et-belg-244x300.jpg 244w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/foto-burundi-et-belg.jpg 538w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 244px) 100vw, 244px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the program of the visit are exchange on the activities\/projects carried out by Enabel in Burundi and presentation by H.E. Ambassador Th\u00e9rence Ntahiraja of an invitation to the next Conference on Investment Opportunities in Burundi that the Embassy of Burundi at Brussels organizes for the 19<sup>th <\/sup>April, 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Enabel operates in Burundi in the sectors of Education, Health, Agriculture, Environment, Training and Good governance. The Director General of Enabel says he is satisfied with two projects executed in Burundi by Enabel, including the \u201cLATAWAMA\u201d regional project. That project is implemented jointly with the Lake Tanganyika Authority under the funding from the European Union (EU) in order to improve the water quality of Lake Tanganyika. On that subject, he invited the Government of Burundi to participate in a side event which will be organized on the sidelines of COP29 in BAKU and which will focus on the financing of the countries which are under the equator under threat of the climate change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second project consists of the support for the construction of buildings of the health sector. Following a maintenance system put in place, those buildings and their equipment are well maintained, a very positive sign for the Director of Enabel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover, he responded favorably to the invitation addressed to him by H.E. Ambassador Th\u00e9rence NTAHIRAJA in which he confirmed his participation as a speaker during the conference. He also promised to send an Enabel expert responsible for the climate issues for participating in the morning in the Round Table on the innovative initiatives on the environment and climate change in Burundi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his speech, H.E.
