The relations of friendship and cooperation between those two countries are based on pragmatism, trust and mutual respect.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6532 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Turquie-1-300x211.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Turquie-1-300x211.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Turquie-1-768x540.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Turquie-1.jpeg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The opening of the Burundi Embassy in Ankara in 2014 and that of T\u00fcrkiye in Bujumbura in 2018 contributed to the strengthening and development of the relations between the two countries, particularly in terms of the mobility of people and goods. The relations of friendship and cooperation are materialized through the signing of agreements in different areas of common interest between the two parties, mainly in the areas of diplomacy, education, trade, defense, security, agriculture and livestock.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In fraternity, when an earthquake struck T\u00fcrkiye leaving thousands dead and missing, the Burundian Government deployed a &#8220;specialized&#8221; team of ten people in T\u00fcrkiye to help in rescuing and recovery operations and they will be deployed by the Turkish authorities in the areas where they are most needed.
