He welcomes the signing of that Specific Convention which is a political reaffirmation of the common desire of those two States in reinforcing and strengthening their relations of friendship and direct collaboration.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6020 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/signature-shing-300x260.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"260\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/signature-shing-300x260.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/signature-shing-1024x888.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/signature-shing-768x666.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/signature-shing-1536x1332.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/signature-shing-2048x1776.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For him, that is the first direct bilateral cooperation program after the removing of the sanctions in February 2022, a program worth 75 million euros aligned with the National Development Plan of Burundi 2018-2027 at the level of the Strategic axes. The Specific Agreement signed sets up a Joint Consultation Committee for the implementation and monitoring-evaluation of the agreed actions. It further specifies the responsibilities and obligations of the parties, the status of the expatriate staff, monitoring, evaluation and resolution of disputes in the event of suspension, termination and modification of the program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation His Excellency Ambassador Albert SHINGIRO assured the partners that his Ministry and the sectoral Ministries represented at that session, will bring together their best efforts, their know-how and their unwavering will so that the financing granted can achieve the agreed objectives.
