During a press conference, held on july 7, 2023, on the achievements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, the Minister indicated that at the level of the promotion of bilateral cooperation, several bilateral agreements with the partners have been signed and ratified, others are continuing their good progress for ratification.<\/p>\n

Those including the Agreement on Visa Exemption for Diplomatic and Service Passport Holders, signed between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Republic of Burundi. It is already ratified. The African Youth Charter adopted in Banjul, Gambia, on july 2, 2006 (the instruments of ratification have been deposited). A Trade Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Congo and the Government of the Republic of Burundi (the instruments of ratification have been deposited). The protocol for the implementation of Financial Assistance signed on August 15, 2018 in Ankara between the Government of the Republic of Burundi and the Government of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye (ratification process). A Security Cooperation Agreement signed in 2019 between Burundi and T\u00fcrkiye: It was ratified by the Republic of Burundi and notified to the Turkish Party.<\/p>\n

The follow-up of the Ratification of the Revised General Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) of the implementation of the other Agreements signed as well as the signature of the Agreements exchanged are ensured; the monitoring of the Agreements signed between Burundi and the United Arab Emirates, between the Government of Burundi and that of Qatar as well as the monitoring of the implementation of the Agreement on the recruitment of the workers and the Agreement on the recruitment of the domestic workers between the Government of the Republic of Burundi and the Government of the Kingdom of Arabia was ensured. The procedures for the ratification of a General Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Burundi and the Government of the State of Israel have been initiated; an Agreement establishing the Joint Cooperation Commission between the Government of the Republic of Burundi and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco; an Agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports between the Government of the Republic of Burundi and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco; the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Burundi and the Government of the Republic of Maldives on a mutual visa exemption for the citizens of the two respective countries, signed in New York, on april 26, 2023: In the process of ratification; a draft Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Burundi and the Government of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye on the Mutual Abolition of visa procedures has been proposed by the Burundian Party to the Embassy of T\u00fcrkiye in Bujumbura.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
