The two authorities signed a Memorandum of understanding on strengthening development cooperation and implementing the Global Development Initiative (GDI).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0They also discussed about the ways and means for strengthening and diversifying the bilateral cooperation through the large scale projects in areas of the common interest through the mutually beneficial strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During their meeting, the two authorities promised to accelerate the development projects already approved such as the Melchior Ndadaye International Airport, the deviation of the national road RN1, the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation and agricultural missions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They also accepted to examine the technical details of the projects submitted by the Burundian side during the 8<sup>th<\/sup> ministerial meeting of the Forum on Sino-African Cooperation (FOCAC), including the Bujumbura-Gitega highway and an international conference center and a professional training.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, the two parties are committed to strengthening their cooperation in international forums through mutual support for the vital interests of their respective countries and people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0At the end of the fruitful exchanges between the two parties, Burundi reiterated its firm support and traditional attachment to the principle of a single, united and indivisible China with Taiwan as an integral part.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On sunday, july 09, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, His Excellency Ambassador Albert SHINGIRO participated in the first high level meeting of the forum on global action for a shared development, held in Beijing in the people&#8217;s Republic of China.
