He said that on may 25, 1963, the Organization of the African Unity came out of the baptismal sixty years later, in this month of may 2023, as every year, they celebrate the creative genius of the founding fathers who, in their pan-Africanism, laid the groundwork for an Africa to be built. To stand the test of time, this construction had to be based on solid shared values, the most fundamental of which was embodied in the collective quest for political freedom, peace and social prosperity, as an essential prerequisite for development, but that this celebration should come at a time when many of the Member States are in crisis. They are prey to deadly internal conflicts, fueled by the unbridled quest for supreme power, with the corollary of significant loss of human life. Beyond their political and social tears, the significant elements of their national heritage are being destroyed and drowned in sometimes bloody pain.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5379 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/UA1-300x277.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"277\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/UA1-300x277.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/UA1-1024x944.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/UA1-768x708.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/UA1-1536x1417.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.mae.gov.bi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/UA1-2048x1889.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation His Excellency Ambassador Albert SHINGIRO declared that he was happy to celebrate the 60th<\/sup> anniversary of the Organation of the African Uunion and to sing the common victory of Africans over the painful past and nightmare that the colonization has afflicted the continent.
