On thursday march 30, 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation organized a tree planting activity on the edges of the Nyagwonga ravine of Ramba locality, Kabezi commune, in Bujumbura province<\/p>\n

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation His Excellency Albert Shingiro indicated that that activity was organized to implement two objectives: the National Program “Ewe Burundi Urambaye” and the United Nations Program no<\/sup>13 relating to the fight against the climate change for sustainable development.<\/p>\n

The Representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Burundi, the Representatives of international organizations working in Burundi, the administrative authorities including the Governor of Bujumbura Province \u00a0Mr. D\u00e9sir\u00e9 Nsengiyumva, the Administrator of Kabezi commune \u00a0Mrs. Esperance Habonimana, the security officials and the population of the locality joined the Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation in that activity.<\/p>\n

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation His Excellency Albert Shingiro, the population of the locality was mobilized in this tree planting activity in order to make them following the mobilization of the President of the Republic His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye where he said that “if you cut down one tree, you have to plant two trees”. He added that it is a good program which allows to cover the country even if it is naturally covered.<\/p>\n

His Excellency Albert Shingiro warmly thanked all those who had responded to this activity. Great appreciation was reserved for the Representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Burundi and international organizations working in Burundi for their contribution in the implementation of the national program “Ewe Burundi Urambaye” and the United Nations Program No. 13.<\/p>\n

\"\"The Ambassador of the Popular Republic of China to Burundi Mrs. Zhao Jiangping thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation on behalf of all the Representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Burundi and the Representatives of international organizations working in Burundi for its invitation. She greatly appreciated the massive presence of the diplomatic and consular corps and the Representatives of international organizations, local authorities, security officials and the surrounding population<\/p>\n
