The Burundian Head of State HE Evariste Ndayishimiye, accompanied by his spouse, took part in the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State of the African Union, on May 27-28, 2022 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.<\/p>\n
During this Summit, the Heads of State analyzed the situation of displaced people of different causes such as climate change which is often marked by the flood, torrential rains, accidents, wars, criminals, etc.<\/p>\n
Facing the situation of these displaced people, the Heads of State of the African Union gave their contributions to help them. They also analyzed how the causes of these displacements would be eradicated so that peace fully reigns in Africa. Therefore, the Heads of State are called upon to adopt strategies aiming at revitalizing creative measures for sustainable solutions to the situation of repetitive displacement and strengthening the continental framework, especially the implementation of international legal instruments and the African Union.<\/p>\n
The Heads of State of the African Union also discussed how to eradicate armed groups that occur in different parts of the world in general and in Africa in particular. They did not fail to deal with the subject of terrorist groups and unconstitutional changes.<\/p>\n
Facing these major obstacles which hinder the development, peace and security in Africa, the Heads of State are unanimous as to the solidarity which must characterize all the Member States, in order to eradicate them, and they agreed to an interministerial committee which deepen the reflection.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that the Burundian Head of State HE Evariste Ndayishimiye asked the African Union to organize a Summit of Heads of State, particularly dedicated to youth issues, and to the exchange of experiences in the support and the supervision of young people as a strategy for the stabilization and pacification of Nations.<\/p>\n
Convinced that there is no peace without bread, HE Evariste Ndayishimiye shared the experience of Burundi in the consolidation of peace and the recovery of security through the fight against poverty, the supervision of young people and women for socio-economic development.<\/p>\n
