The Minister indicated that Chinese experts are expected to begin the realization of this extremely important and strategic project for Burundi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;The Minister also informed the public that the follow-up of the activities of the deviation of the National Road no 1 next to the presidential palace Ntare House was ensured with the Chinese partner who finances the said project. Activities have not started yet due to the covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With regard to the monitoring of the construction project of the Hydroelectric Power Plant on the Ruzibazi River, the completion and provisional acceptance of the works of this Power Plant are scheduled for the first half of 2023 if the schedule is respected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The monitoring of the Bujumbura Port Rehabilitation and Modernization Project financed by Japan has been ensured and the works are in progress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Still within the framework of cooperation with the Japanese partner, His Excellency Albert Shingiro reported that negotiations have been initiated for the counterpart funds generated by the sale of Fuel and Japanese Don Rice to be used for the construction of infrastructure in Burundi and proceed normally in a spirit of compromise and mutual trust.
