They pledge to work towards more convergent positions in multilateral fora to reduce global inequalities, strengthen solidarity, promote international cooperation, combat and mitigate climate change, and improve the provision of \u201cglobal public goods\u201d, in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the AU Agenda 2063. They pledge to provide political support to achieve the necessary reform of the WHO and to improve its functioning, with a view to strengthening the multilateral trading system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both parties also undertake to contribute to the reform efforts of the United Nations system, including with regard to the United Nations Security Council. Furthermore, they reaffirm their commitment to the full implementation of the Paris Agreement and the results of the conferences of the parties. They recognize that Africa&#8217;s energy transition is vital for its industrialization and for closing the energy gap. They will support Africa in its transition to promote just and sustainable trajectories towards climate neutrality. They recognize the importance of using available natural resources as part of this energy transition process. They support Africa&#8217;s hosting of COP 27 in Egypt in 2022, as well as an ambitious global biodiversity framework. They pledge to work together to develop, under the aegis of WHO, an ambitious new international agreement on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;The Heads of State or Government of the Member States of the African Union (AU) and the European Union (EU) commend the fruitful discussions that took place during the summit during the round tables devoted to the following themes: financing for sustainable and inclusive growth; climate change and energy, digital and transport transition (connectivity and infrastructure); peace, security and governance; private sector support and economic integration; education, culture and vocational training, migration and mobility; agriculture and sustainable development; and health systems and vaccine production. They warmly thank the contributions of youth, civil society, local authorities and the private sector in the framework of the Africa-Europe Week and the EU-Africa Business Forum, and they encourage all stakeholders to continue to s associate with their renewed partnership. They agreed to follow up on the implementation of the commitments made at the AU-EU summits.
